This episode is a continuation of my discussion from episode 004. So if you starting out here in the podcast order you may want to go back and listen to that episode before going forward. However, if you don’t mind your podcast order being a bit of a puzzle then please continue on.

So you’ve got to have hope and in this episode, Part 2 of 2, I talk about the need to stabilize your current environment where you can free yourself of excessive obligations. How do you do this you ask? Well the short answer is by minimizing your responsibilities.  In brief history, I first heard this concept by reading “The Four Hour Work Week” by Timothy Farriss where he explained, and as I paraphrase, minimizing your foot print or excess baggage that is holding you down will free you up to live a better life style by allowing you recognize non traditional paths that are unseen while as you manage high levels of personal stress, in other words travel lightly. He goes  further to recommend one of his go-to resources for this in a book recommendation, Vagabonding by Rolf Potts.

I also attempt to explain the forest for the trees effect and the one man, on leg butt kicking contest that helps explain why we, as busy people, find it hard to recognize opportunities to change as well as our avoidance to apply a reasonable amount of discipline toward a more rewarding life.
